KCR Stole Huge Public Money In Haritha Haram: Congress

The Congress accused CM K Chandrashekar Rao of misappropriating public money in the name of Haritha Haram and decennial Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
Hyderabad | 19th June 2023
Congress Working President Mahesh Kumar Goud accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of misappropriating public money in the name of Haritha Haram and decennial Telangana Formation Day celebrations.

Speaking to the media, Goud alleged that KCR's family had continuously looted the State in his rule, and that huge amounts of public money was looted in the name of Haritha Haram.

"KCR is saying that Rs 11,000 crore have been spent on Harithaharam. Where are the saplings on which Rs 11,000 crore were spent? There is a lot of difference between the official figures being given and the ground reality. The entire State's land is not enough for saplings of that scale to be planted. 70% of the expenditure incurred on Haritha Haram was looted. A thorough inquiry should be ordered to find out the realities behind the claims of the CM," he said.

He said that after the Congress came into power an inquiry would be conducted into the corruption in Haritha Haram, and that all the plants would be counted.

He also asked why the rulers of the State government were spending on decennial celebrations even before the completion of the Formation Day celebrations. He also alleged that there was corruption in the construction of the Secretariat and the Martyrs' Memorial too, and said that an expert committee would be constituted to probe the matter after the Congress came into power.
