KCR Sets Deadline For Telangana
With trademark belligerence, KCR has threatened the Govt of India that if there is no deadline set for Telangana creation by Monday (28th Dec), the state will burn.

With typical belligerence, KCR has issued a threat to the Government of India that if there is no deadline set for the creation of Telangana by Monday (28th December), the state will burn.
At the end of a day-long meeting of the Telangana JAC (Joint Action Committee, that comprises various leaders of Telangana spanning political parties excluding the TDP) that chalked up a plan of action for acquiring separate statehood for the region, a letter was being drafted to be sent to the Government of India communicating this.
The JAC, led by KCR at least informally, has said that while there will be no bandhs or violence until Monday, if the Centre does not communicate a clear deadline for the creation of a separate state for Telangana by the end of that day, it will intensify the agitation "10 times".
The agitation will effectively become a non-cooperation movement, with people in the area refusing to pay taxes; government employees not reporting to work; rail rokos, bus rokos and transport blockages; and there being a general striking.
The JAC will also decentralize, forming JACs at various levels - a top-level JAC, regional JACs etc.
In a boost to the separate state movement, and increasing the headaches for CM Rosaiah, 12 Telangana ministers resigned today. Veerappa Moily, Congress incharge for AP, however said that a separate state will happen only after wide-ranging consultations as Home Minister Chidambaram pointed out, and that the Congress had not gone back on his word.
