Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy today said that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was responsible for the current drought situation prevailing in Telangana.
Speaking to the media, the Congress leader alleged that KCR's inefficiency was the main reason for the non-availability of irrigation waters for the Kharif season in Telangana.
Also terming Mission Bhagiratha as a failure, Reddy alleged that KCR had launched the project only to accumulate wealth in the name of providing drinking water.
"I categorically stated in the Telangana Assembly that the officer who advised KCR to launch that scheme should be hanged. It's a failure," Reddy said.
He also alleged that former chief minister was worried over the judicial inquiry ordered by the Congress government into irregularities in the purchase of power for the Kaleshwaram and Yadadri power projects.
Finding fault with KCR for stating that he would expose the Congress government's failures sitting in the studios of news channels, Reddy said that it is ridiculous that KCR wanted to go to news channels instead of attending the Assembly sessions.
"And in my 40 years in politics, no government has ever fulfilled its promises within 100 days of formation. What BRS could not do in 10 years, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has done in three months. The BJP will also disappear after the Parliament elections," he added.
