Congress Demands Farmers' Input Subsidy Release

TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao release Rs. 711 crores input subsidy given by the Central government.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao release the Rs. 711 crores input subsidy given by the Central government to compensate for the damage suffered by farmers due to all natural calamities (floods, droughts, etc.) in 2015.

Reddy addressed a letter to the Chief Minister regard it in which he recalled that the latter promised during the Assembly session on December 21, 2016, to release the input subsidy given by the Centre in a day or two. However, the promise hadn't been fulfilled yet, he pointed out.

The TPCC chief requested the CM to take urgent steps to dispatch the subsidy amount.
