The Telangana CM gave the nod for the release of Rs 100 crores for the welfare of lawyers and Rs 10 crores towards the Telangana Journalist Welfare Fund.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday gave the nod for the release of Rs 100 crores for the welfare of lawyers and Rs 10 crores towards the Telangana Journalist Welfare Fund.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to deposit the amounts into the accounts of the departments concerned and utilise the same for the welfare of lawyers and journalists.
He asked Law secretary Santhosh Reddy to prepare the modalities to utilise the amount, in consultation with the lawyers' associations.
The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a committee led by Information & Public Relations Department Commissioner R V Chandravadan to deal with the issues of accreditation and health cards for the journalists in the state. (INN)
