Rajya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy on Tuesday accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Reddy of lacking commitment towards the Telangana cause.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, Palvai said that KCR lacks commitment and determination to achieve statehood for the Telangana region.
He said that the formation of a Telangana state is possible only if KCR is defeated in the elections.
He also accused Telugu Desam Party leaders of lacking sincerity towards Telangana.
However, Palvai indirectly defended the
Telangana Congress MPs' recent decision to join the TRS. He said that they were leaving the party only due to the delay in the Centre's decision on Telangana.
The Congress MP also ridiculed the promises made by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu during his Vastunna Mee Kosam padayatra. He said that the promises were not only unrealistic, but also that it would require a whopping Rs. 2 lakh crore to fulfill them. (INN)
