Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao left for Alampur by road from Hyderabad to inaugurate the Krishna Pushkaralu at the Gondimalla pushkar ghat at 6 am on August 12.
Several ministers and Party leaders accompanied the CM who will stay in the Haritha Tourism Guest House on Thursday night.
As per State Planning Commission deputy chairman Niranjan Reddy, KCR will begin the 12-day Krishna Pushkaralu festival along with his spouse by taking a holy dip at Gondimalla. He will then proceed to the Jogulamba temple to offer prayers.
