Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, along with his family members, had a darsan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala in the early hours of Monday.
They entered the temple through the Mahadwaram and offered special prayers.
The Telangana Chief Minister and his entourage were welcomed by TTD Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal and other TTD officials. Temple priests welcomed the Chief Minister with a Poorna Kumbham and the chanting of Vedic hymns as per the tradition.
The visitors were presented with silk clothes and prasadam by the temple authorities after they completed their rituals.
KCR and his family members then also visited Tiruchanur and offered prayers to Goddess Padmavathi. Later they also visited Thummalagunta and performed a puja at the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple.
YSRCP MLAs Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and others accompanied the Telangana Chief Minister. After lunch at the residence of Bhaskar Reddy, the Chief Minister along with his family members left for Hyderabad in a special flight.
