KCR Launches Grama Jyothi
The Telangana Chief Minister launched his government's flagship rural development program "Grama Jyothi" in the village in the Warangal district.

Launching his government's flagship rural development program "Grama Jyothi" at the Gangadevipally village under the Geesukonda mandal of the Warangal district on Monday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao praised its villagers for becoming an ideal to others in terms of development, clean environment and better living standards.
After a tour of the village for taking stock of the ground realities and its distinct achievements, KCR announced Rs 10 crores for its development as a reward, and said that the order would be issued on August 18 itself.
The Chief Minister also promised to construct a residential school for the village, and provide other basic facilities.
KCR patted the villagers for creating history of sorts by developing without help from politicians, by following the set norms, by maintaining a clean and green environment, and living in a systematic manner.
"You have charted a trail which can be followed by other villages for speedy development. I achieved Telangana unmindful of abuses and obstructions created by many people and leaders during the movement. You, too, should go in for self-sufficiency and growth unmindful of malevolent elements that may try to hamper development," he said.
Promising to give everything needed for the village, he asked the gathering to prepare a pucca plan to spend the funds and shoulder accountability to implement the plan.
"Your village should also get rid of the mosquito menace by planting medicinal plants like Odomos, which I have achieved at my home," he advised.
Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, MP Vinod Kumar, local leaders including former MLA Kavitha and others were present.
