Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao assured all required assistance to the artists who played a key role in the formation of Telangana.
Addressing a meeting of Telangana artists at the Madhapur Art Gallery on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that more or at least equal efforts were required to achieve "Bangaru Telangana", and that this goal had to be pursued with the same vigour as went into to achieve statehood for Telangana.
He said that artists had more responsibility than the ministers in converting the state into Bangaru Telangana.
Stating that the artists supported the statehood movement till the very end, KCR promised that his government would provide jobs, health insurance and other benefits to the artists who participated in the statehood movement.
He exhorted the artists to play an active role in creating awareness among the people regarding the state government's welfare schemes.
He said that his government aimed to make Telangana a model state in the entire country. (INN)
