KCR Kits Distribution In Telangana From June 3

The much-hyped KCR Kits comprising 15 items for mother and child will be distributed among women due for delivery, from June 3.

The Chief Minister is to launch the kits on June 2 on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day.

According to information, each kit is worth about Rs 2,000, and will have all the necessary items for a woman and her child after delivery. The health department has instructed the officials to ensure that the kits are given to all those who deliver their children at government hospitals from June 3, and has made elaborate arrangements for the distribution of the kits to the beneficiaries at the government and area hospitals in all districts.

Each KCR Kit comprises 15 items (11 for the child and 4 for the mother) including:

Mosquito net (worth Rs 350)
Baby mosquito pad (Rs 90)
Clothes (Rs 200)
2 towels (Rs 100)
Baby napkins (Rs 100)
Johnson Baby Powder (Rs 120)
Baby shampoo (Rs 85)
Baby oil (Rs 200)
Baby soap (Rs 90)
Baby soap box (Rs 25)
Playing items (Rs 50)
2 sarees (Rs 350)
2 soaps (Rs 40)
Kitbag (Rs 150)
Plastic bucket (Rs 50)

The government will also offer Rs 13,000 to a woman upon delivery of a female child and Rs 12,000 upon delivery of a male child, and the amount will be credited to the woman's account.
