Shabbbir Ali said the drinking water shortage, power crisis, lack of irrigation facilities and uncertainity over fee reimbursement were all being ignored.
Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of not giving importance to the issues of public importance.
Speaking to media persons, Shabbir Ali said that Telangana was facing problems like a shortage of drinking water, the power crisis, a lack of irrigation facilities and uncertainity over fee reimbursement.
Further, the government had missed the June 30 deadline to settle the farm loans.
However, he said that the TRS government had failed to take any positive step in the one month of its rule.
Shabbir Ali said that it was highly condemnable that the Chief Minister was focused more on encouraging defections in opposition parties than in resolving the issues being faced by the people.
He said that the TRS government had been setting a wrong precedent of winning elections by encouraging revolts in other parties.
He demanded that discussions be held on the drought situation and the upcoming monsoon season in the next session of the Legislative Council. (INN)
