KCR Talks To Mamata Banerjee About Federal Front
As part of his trip to multiple states to put together a Federal Front against the BJP and the Congress, the Telangana CM today called on the West Bengal CM in Kolkata.
As part of his trip to multiple states to put together a Federal Front against the BJP and the Congress, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today called on his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata.
KCR got a warm welcome from Benerjee and officials. The duo then held discussions at the West Bengal Secretariat on KCR's proposal.
After visiting the Kali Matha temple and taking blessings, KCR will go to Delhi in the evening as per schedule to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 26 or 27 to pay a courtesy call after being elected as Chief Minister. He is also expected to talk about the state's issues in his meeting with the PM.
The TRS boss will stay in Delhi for three or four days, and meet with former UP Chief Ministers BSP chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav among several people and propose the Federal Front as an alternative political force at the national level.
Earlier the Telangana CM had talks with his Odisha counterpart Navin Patnaik too on the same topic in Bhubaneshwar. Later, KCR, his wife Shobha and other family members got a traditional welcome at the famous Puri Jagannath Temple in the city. As soon as KCR and his entourage reached the temple, the priests and officials welcomed them traditionally. KCR then performed special pujas at the temple and took the blessings of the priests.
