KCR Fast for Telangana Starts, Arrested

K Chandrasekhara Rao, head of the Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS), has started his fast for Telangana, and has been arrested.

K Chandrasekhara Rao, head of the Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS), has started his fast for Telangana today, 29th November 2009. He has been arrested and put in the Khammam jail, where he is continuing his fast.

Students of the Osmania University and in Warangal are agitating, and section 144 has been clamped all over the Telangana districts. The TRS has called for a bandh tomorrow all over, while KCR has exhorted his cadres to protest in a Gandhian fashion.

Exams scheduled for tomorrow in the OU have been cancelled.
