KCR is elected as the president of the TRS for the 7th consecutive term.

K Chandrasekhar Rao has been elected as the president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for the 7th consecutive term.

KCR's unanimous election was announced by senior leader and Returning Officer Nayani Narasimha Reddy, at the delegates meeting during the party's 12th Formation Day celebrations at Armoor in Nizamabad district, on Saturday.

Thanking everyone for his election, KCR said that although he was "weak", he would carry the burden of leading the party till the formation of a Telangana State.
