BJP Telangana in charge Tarun Chugh also accused the TRS of "intentionally" obstructing the implementation of the Centre's schemes in the state.

BJP national general secretary and Telangana state in charge Tarun Chugh, who is in the state to help the party prepare for the upcoming graduates' constituencies elections, today slammed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for allegedly deceiving the people of the state by indulging in large-scale corruption and nepotism after promising to create a "golden Telangana".
Addressing the working committee members of the BJP's Mahila Morcha, he said that "golden Telangana" was a reality only for the CM and his family as the latter had "used his post" just to ensure his own family's wellbeing.
He also slammed the KCR government for failing to fulfil any of its election-time promises since 2014.
"In the corruption-ridden regime of the TRS, unemployment has only been increasing. The CM has failed to provide the two lakh jobs he had promised he would during the elections. He is only concerned with the wellbeing of his own family. This became apparent to all when he pulled strings to ensure that his daughter Kavitha became an MLC after she lost the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat," the BJP head said.
"In Telangana, all sections of society are sick of the TRS and its corrupt practices. They have been looking for a new party who will work for them sincerely. The BJP will fill this niche, and will work to develop the state and protect its people," he added.
Chugh then accused the TRS government for deliberately hindering the successful implementation of the various schemes launched by Prime Minister Modi for the benefit of the poor.
He urged the women's wing of the BJP to disseminate information about the pro-poor policies introduced by the PM, which the KCR government had "failed" to implement, in order to highlight the party's commitment to the people.
He also expressed his satisfaction at the manner in which the saffron party had managed to consolidate its position in the state, and credited its "sabka saath, sabka vikas" ideals for the success.
"The people of Telangana will support the BJP for its inclusive approach to development. You must publicise the Centre's pro-poor policies and its "sabka saath, sabka vikas" ideals so that they know that we will always stand by them," Chugh said.
Apart from Chugh, BJP state head Bandi Sanjay Kumar and BJP Mahila Morcha state chief Geetha Reddy also participated in the meeting.
