Continuing on his election campaign across the State, Telangana Chief Minister and TRS boss K Chandrashekar Rao today held forth with his standard tirade charging the BJP and the Congress with duping the country for 72 years and now making tall claims on the eve of general elections.
Addressing public meetings in the Khammam and Mahabubabad areas for TRS candidate Malothu Kavitha along with other leaders, KCR said, "While the BJP takes the credit for the surgical strikes, the Congress talks of the obsolete Garibi Hatao slogan."
The TRS supremo took serious exception to the BJP and the Congress for leveling "baseless allegations" against the TRS, and lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AICC chief Rahul Gandhi for making "bogus charges". He ridiculed both the national parties for unashamedly blaming others for the under-development, corruption and scams in the country despite ruling the nation for a long time.
Since these parties had failed to perform their legitimate duties and deliver the goods, the people were looking at the Telangana model of development and welfare, he claimed.
"For us, the people are our bosses, and our agenda is only their welfare and their progress. That is why our welfare schemes are role models for the entire nation," KCR said.
"The Federal Front can wrest power at the Centre and help the State much more than the BJP and the Congress will, but that will be possible only when we bag 16 Lok Sabha seats," he added.
