Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday celebrated his 61st birthday in the Raj Bhavan of Maharashtra in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao.
TRS MPs including K Keshava Rao, Jithender Reddy and B Vinod, ministers T Harish Rao and Jogu Ramanna, and MLC Karne Prabhakar were present on the occasion.
KCR cut a special cake which was ordered by the Maharashtra Governor.
Earlier, KCR had also performed a special pooja at Mumbai's Siddhi Vinayak Temple on the occasion of Maha Sivaratri.
Meanwhile, TRS leaders and workers organised grand celebrations of KCR's birthday at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Jagadish Reddy, and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha participated in the celebrations.
Kavitha and Jagdish Reddy also released a CD of songs on KCR produced by Shankar.
KCR's birthday was also celebrated across the 10 districts of Telangana. The TRS workers also organised blood donation camps on the occasion. (INN)
