KCR Assures Independent Probe Into Alair Encounter
The assurance was given to a delegation of Muslim United Forum leaders who called on the Telangana CM.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reportedly assured an independent probe into the killing of five undertrials in an alleged fake encounter near Alair.
The assurance was given to a delegation of Muslim United Forum leaders who called on the Chief Minister at his office at the State Secretariat on Thursday.
The delegation, comprising of MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Moulana Rahimuddin Ansari, Syed Qubool Pasha Shattari, Syed Akbar Nizamuddin and others, demanded that the Chief Minister order a CBI probe into the alleged fake encounter.
Responding to the demand, KCR sought 2-3 days to take a final decision.
Briefing media persons later, Moulana Rahim Qureshi said that the Chief Minister expressed regret over the incident.
He said that the CM opined that peace and law & order in the state were essential to attract investments and to achieve growth. However, the CM was gathering more information, and would take a decision soon on the demand for a CBI enquiry.
The MUF leaders made it clear that a magisterial or CB-CID enquiry would not be acceptable to them. (INN)
