Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today directed the Khammam district Collector to do justice to Suryakanthamma, whose 2-acre land was allegedly grabbed in the district.
Suryakanthamma is the widow of Venkata Gajapathi Raju, a freedom fighter from Nugur village in Venkatapuram in the district.
The woman on Tuesday met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat and complained that two acres of land allotted by the previous government to her had been encroached upon, and sought justice.
Reacting to her plea, the Chief Minister rang up the Collector and asked him to see that the woman got her land back.
