TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy on Thursday claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was fearing a major coup within the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy said that several TRS leaders were unhappy with KCR's style of functioning.
Some MLAs, who had been with the TRS since the beginning and were denied a berth in the State cabinet, were angry with KCR for admitting rebels like Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
These legislators and other leaders were planning a major coup to dethrone KCR. And due to that reason, KCR was focusing more on strengthening the Party than on running the government, Reddy alleged.
Reddy also accused KCR of encouraging the land mafia in Hyderabad. He clarified that no decision had been taken on the regularisation of encroachments on government lands during the all-Party meeting. However, by holding two all-Party meetings, KCR had given the impression of consensus while in reality he had just imposed his decision and announced the regularisation of all encroachments.
Reddy said that the government had not even provided the statistics related to those who illegally possess up to 125 sq yards of land. (INN)
