Ahead of plans to privatize 5,100 bus routes, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today called on Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.

The Telangana Chief Minister met her at Raj Bhavan and apprised her of the High Court's nod for bus routes' privatization, and on the impact of the strike during the Dasara and Deepavali festivals on the TSRTC's finances.

The CM discussed his plans on the RTC's future and a plan to offer VRS, the new Revenue Act and others, it is learnt.

KCR's meeting with the Governor gains importance as the High Court has offered its nod to the TSRTC bus routes' privatization.

Interestingly, the Opposition parties, slamming the State government on the RTC staff strike, had sought the intervention of the Governor and the Centre.
