KCR's Private Meeting With Governor Assumes Significance
The Telangana CM who went to Raj Bhavan to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Patnam Mahender Reddy had a closed door meeting with Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's private meeting with Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan today has assumed significance in the political circles.
The Chief Minister, who went to Raj Bhavan to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Patnam Mahender Reddy as minister, had a one-on-one closed door meeting with Soundararajan. The meeting lasted over 20 minutes. Although the specifics of the conversation between them were not disclosed, it appears that the matters discussed pertained to pending bills, and the nomination of MLCs under the Governor's quota.
The gap between Raj Bhavan and Pragati Bhavan, the official-residence-cum-camp-office of the Telangana Chief Minister, has been widening for quite some time as both sides remain unrelenting on their respective stances on various issues. It however appears that after today's meeting the two of them may have decided to set aside their differences and work together in the days to come.
Reddy's oath taking ceremony was held after the Chief Minister's meeting with the Governor. The Governor later took a group photo with the Chief Minister and the other ministers on the premises of the Raj Bhavan.
