Telangana Jagruthi president Kavita on Tuesday criticised what she claimed was negligence in the evaluating of the Intermediate Public Examination answer papers by the Board of Intermediate Education. She demanded that the answer sheets of 4,000 students be re-evaluated, and that that the government take action against the 2,000 evaluators who checked the answer-sheets.
Warning the government that the Telangana Jagruti will not let the BIE conduct the supplementary examinations if her demands were not met, Kavita said that students from the Telangana region were deliberately given incorrect marks. She said that a student who should have got 75 per cent marks was given 0 per cent.
The Telangana Jagruti chief said that she will obtain information under the RTI Act of the 4,000 students' answer-sheets and then agitate if the government does not order immediate re-evaluation of the answer sheets.
Kavita said that leaders supporting a United Andhra had ignored her warnings of the bias of evaluators against Telangana students.
