Efforts are being made to organise a Numaish in Karimnagar town next year.
Representatives of the Nampally-based Exhibition Society called on Minister for Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar and State Planning Board Vice-Chairman B Vinod Kumar at the Ministers' Quarters on Wednesday and expressed their desire to organise a Numaish in Karimnagar in 2023.
Speaking to reporters, Vinod Kumar said that Kamalakar had earlier requested the members of the Exhibition Society to organise a Numaish in Karimnagar as the town had been rapidly developing in all fronts in the last few years and was on par with many major cities in India.
Members of the Exhibition Society had also come to the conclusion that there was huge potential for business in the town, and had expressed their readiness to organise the Numaish there.
As a result, after the completion of Numaish at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds, with the help of the State government, the Numaish will be held at Karimnagar in 2023, Vinod Kumar said.
He said that it would be the first time in the history of the All-India Industrial Exhibition Society that the Numaish would be organised outside Hyderabad.
The Numaish is among the largest consumer exhibitions in Hyderabad. An annual event which usually starts at the beginning of the year, it is organised for a stretch of 46 days.
