Kaleshwaram Project Investigation To Take More Time: Chandra Ghosh
Chief of the Kaleshwaram Project Inquiry Commission Justice Chandra Ghosh said that the investigation into the project would not be completed by June 30.
Chief of the Kaleshwaram Project Inquiry Commission Justice Chandra Ghosh today said that the investigation into the project would not be completed by June 30, and that it would take more time for the report to be submitted.
Speaking to reporters, Ghosh said that the investigation was delayed due to the Model Code of Conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, and that the gathering of information was not yet complete.
"As the elections are now over, the investigation will progress at a brisk pace, and will be speeded up in the days to come," he said.
The former Supreme Court judge said that he had already visited the Kaleshwaram project site once, and had served notices to seven persons to attend the investigation on June 10.
"Another 18 people have been given notices to attend the investigation on June 11 (Tuesday). A total of 54 complaints have been received regarding the Kaleshwaram project. All the complaints will be investigated. Complaints of non-compensation have also been reported. The notices have also been given to the officials concerned to attend the inquiry," Ghosh said.
He further said that after the probe into the technical issues, the investigation into regular, financial and other aspects would take place.
