Endowment Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao on Tuesday denied that he had any connection with the irregularities that took place in the examination conducted for the recruitment of civil supplies posts.
Talking to media persons, the minister stated that the media had unnecessarily dragged his name into the controversy.
Reacting on linking of his name to the irregularities while holding the examination, Krishna Rao said that the reports which appeared in a section of media were baseless and far from truth.
The minister revealed that he had written a letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy urging him to conduct a probe into the entire episode of cancelling the examination following the allegations of selling the posts.
Krishna Rao said that he had appealed to the Chief Minister to conduct Anti Corruption Bureau, or Lok Ayukta, or Vigilance probe into the examination fiasco.
He asked the media to publish the name of the minister behind the leaking of examination paper.
