In the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election scheduled for November 11, voters could cast their votes by presenting any of 12 different photo identity documents in addition to the voter identity card (EPIC), GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R V Karnan said.
In a statement issued today, Karnan said that voters could use any of the following IDs:
Aadhaar card Employment guarantee job card Bank or post office passbook with photo Health Insurance Smart Card or Ayushman Bharat Health Card issued by the Union Ministry of Labour Driving licence PAN card Smart Card issued by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the National Population Register (NPR) Indian passport Pension documents with photo Employment identity cards issued by the Central or State governments, PSUs or public limited companies Official identity cards issued to MPs, MLAs or MLCs The Unique Disability Identity (UDID) card issued by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
"If your name appears on the voter list but you do not have a voter ID card, you can still vote using any of these 12 accepted photo identification documents," Karnan said.
