Tollywood actor turned producer Jeevitha Rajasekhar today claimed innocence in the cheque bounce case filed against her.
Speaking to media persons in the city, she said that she had not committed any mistake, and termed the allegations made against her by those who had filed the case against her, baseless.
A Nagari court issued a non-bailable warrant against the yesteryear actress yesterday in the case in a case filed against her by the producer of the 2017 hit film PSV Garuda Vega, Koteswara Rao, the head of Jyo Star Enterprises, and his wife Hema Raja.
The couple alleged that she had taken a loan of Rs. 26 crore from them putting up some property as collateral, but that she sold the property later without clearing the loan. They alleged that the actress had cheated them by giving two different cheques for the Rs. 26 crore she borrowed for Garuda Vega that bounced. They told the court that they had to pawn their properties to arrange the Rs. 26 crores for her.
Jeevitha said that the case was pending in a court for the last two months, and that she was clueless about the allegations made against her by the complainants in the case. She said that she would handle the issue legally, and that she had faith in the judiciary. She said that a non-bailable warrant had been issued against her in the past, too, but was withdrawn.
She claimed that those who had levelled the allegations against her had committed several mistakes, and that she would reveal all the details after the verdict of the Nagari court.
Commenting on the publication and telecast of the reports against her on different YouTube channels, she termed the news as completely false, and said that her family had suffered a lot due to that. She urged the YouTube channel owners to not stop the videos and reports about her.
