Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan today slammed the Centre for not planning ahead to combat the aftermath of the demonetization decision.
Expressing displeasure at the Prime Minister's decision to ban 500 and 1,000 currency bills, he said that thousands of people were lining up at banks for money and return empty handed.
The actor-turned-politician said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should have assessed the ramifications in advance.
Kalyan sought immediate steps to mitigate the problem which, as per the Supreme Court, may lead to unrest across the nation. He also asked the Centre to ensure that rural economy was not destabilized due to the impact of the decision.
He also sought to know the amount of money that would be distributed by the Centre through cash kiosks and banks to cater to the growing demands of people lining up to draw their funds.
