Jagga Reddy To Field Wife For Sangareddy Municipal Chairperson Post

Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy on Friday said that he would field his wife Nirmala for the post of the Sangareddy municipal chairperson if the reservations favoured them.

He said that he had decided to field his wife in order to serve the people of his constituency in a more effective manner.

Addressing mediapersons at Sangareddy, he said that his constituency was facing an acute water crisis, and that there was no response from the State government despite submission of several representations on the issue. Adding to the problem, he said that he was being targeted by his political rivals for raising the problem.

He said that he had brought an IIT, an agriculture university, a polytechnic college, the Rajiv Park and an integrated Collectorate to the constituency, and that the people knew that.

Reddy also said that it was he that was responsible for the provision of Manjeera water to each and every household in Sangareddy, and asked his political rival Harish Rao, who he claimed took away the Singur waters, how he would visit Sangareddy now and seek votes in the upcoming municipal elections.

He said that he had brought former Chief Ministers Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy to his constituency, and asked Harish Rao if he had ever brought KCR to Sangareddy.
