Sangareddy MLA and Congress leader T Jayaprakash Reddy on Monday made some interesting remarks on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He claimed that he had received two benefits from the CM - first that he had become MLA for the first time during the initial days of the TRS ruling Telangana, and second that KCR had gotten him arrested which led to the subsequent entry of his daughter into active politics.
Reddy however hastened to clarify that he had never had any problem with the Chief Minister, and that his biggest enemy in the TRS was former minister Harish Rao. He alleged that it was Harish Rao who had sent him to jail. Reddy also alleged that Harish Rao always indulged in the politics of blackmail.
He utilised the occasion to heap lavish praises on another TRS leader and the son of KCR, K T Rama Rao. He termed KTR an honest politician.
Reddy did not spare his own party on the occasion. He alleged that only those leaders who lobbied with high command got plum posts in the Congress, and said that he did not know the art of lobbying. He said that all his worries were about the grass-root leaders and workers of the party, and expressed hope that party President Rahul Gandhi would do justice to all the lower level leaders.
