Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday announced that his new party will be launched in March at YSR Ghat in Pulivendula, Kadapa district.
Talking to mediapersons at Badwale, the former MP stated that his party would strive to bring back the golden era witnessed by the people of the state during former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's rule.
He said that this 'golden period' would continue for at least three decades, where the people would be happy and live a life of peace and without any problems.
This 'golden era' would be possible by implementing his father's schemes so that the poor and downtrodden benefit, Reddy stated.
Lashing out at the N Kiran Kumar Reddy government for ignoring YSR's schemes and programmes, Jaganmohan Reddy, or Jagan as he is popularly known, said his party would strive to fulfill the aspirations of the people and implement all of his father's schemes.
According to sources, the former MP will launch his new party on March 7. This would be before the dates of the by-election to the Kadapa Parliamentary constituency and the Pulivendula Assembly constituency are announced.
Meanwhile, sources in Hyderabad revealed that Jaganmohan Reddy has set his focus on the city, and would tour it extensively.
Jagan is planning to hold a massive public meeting at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad February 18, the sources add.
The Jagan camp is expecting that as many as five lakh people would attend the meeting.
The sources say that Jagan will tour all the ten Telangana districts from March 2. He would be highlighting the problems faced by the people in Telangana. The sources further added that three Lok Sabha members and 40 MLAs are expected to be take the tour along with Jagan.
