Jagan Launches YSR Nethanna Nestham At Dharmavaram

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today launched the YSR Nethanna Nestham scheme at Dharmavaram in Anantapur district, on the occasion of his birthday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan said that he had seen the problems of the handloom weavers during his 3,648 km walkathon - his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He said that with the implementation of this scheme some 85,000 weavers would be given Rs 24,000 annually. He also said that every handloom family would receive Rs 1.20 lakh.
He also said that the AP government had already also instructed bank officers not to add the amounts into the accounts of any handloom weavers who had any debts.
Jagan said that the previous TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu had totally ignored the problems of the Dharmavaram handloom workers, even though they were committing suicides. He claimed that a total of 57 weavers had committed suicides in Anantapur district during the tenure of Naidu.
Speaking of his government's other schemes, Jagan said that over 25 lakh poor people would be given houses by next Ugadi. Besides, from January 9, the State government would sanction money under the Amma Vodi scheme to provide Rs 15,000 per family in financial aid to the families of the poor to enable them to sending their children to government schools.
He also said that his government was providing Rs 10,000 per year in financial assistance to auto, taxi and maxi drivers/owners under the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme for maintenance expenses, and for obtaining insurance and fitness certificates among other documents.
