Several activists of the Osmania University Students JAC were taken into custody after they stormed the office of Jabbar Travels in Hyderabad on Sunday in protest against the non-payment of compensation to the victims of a fire which gutted one of its buses.

The protesters demanded that the Jabbar Travels management immediately pay adequate compensation to the victims of the Palem bus accident. They also demanded that the state government order closure of Jabbar Travels and other erring travel operators.

The students were taken into custody when they tried to damage the shutter of the Jabbar Travels office. (INN)
