Issue Receipts On Liquor Sale: Erasu

Congress leader Erasu Pratap Reddy suggested issuing of receipts on liquor sale to stop Naidu targetting liquor policy.
Hyderabad | 11th October 2010
Senior Congress leader Erasu Pratap Reddy on Sunday expressed confidence that only the most deserving and able members would be inducted by the Chief Minister K Rosaiah in his cabinet when its reshuffle takes place.

Pratap Reddy expressed the hope that the expansion would take place very soon.

Speaking to media persons at the assembly premises, the senior Congress leader also demanded that the government take stringent action against unscrupulous liquor dealers who are selling the brew at higher prices than those marked on the bottles.

Pratap Reddy urged the government to make the issuing of a receipt compulsory on the sale of liquor to the consumers.

Reddy also added that the above step would deprive Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of an issue since he was targeting the government on its liquor policy.

Pratap Reddy stated that Naidu had conveniently forgotten his own policies on liquor sales and was now targeting the government over its policies.

The senior Congress leader reminded Naidu that his government had withdrawn prohibition and was now adopting a 'dual-stand' on the liquor issue.
