ISIS Activist Nabbed At Shamshabad Airport

On a tip-off this morning, the Shamshabad police took one Afsha Jabeen into custody at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport when she arrived from Dubai. As she is an accused in ISIS activist Salman's case, she was arrested and produced in court.

It may be mentioned here that on January 16 this year, the Shamshabad police had intercepted one Salman Mohiuddin, who was trying to join ISIS by travelling to Dubai and from there to Syria via Turkey. During questioning, Salman confessed to have opened several Facebook accounts along with one Nicky Joseph, a British national living in Dubai who influenced and invited him to join her in Dubai in order to go to Syria. Both of them indoctrinated and motivated several youngsters through social media platforms to join the activities of ISIS and jihad.

In this connection, a case was registered and Salman Mohiuddin was produced in court. During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Nicky Joseph was not a British national, but an Indian from Tolichowki in Hyderabad with original name Afsha Jabeen, and that she had migrated to Abu Dhabi during her childhood. After completing her Intermediate in Abu Dhabi, she returned to Hyderabad and graduated from Shadan College. She married one Devender Kumar alias Mustafa.
