"Chargers Must Boycott IPL"

Komatireddy urges IPL to hold matches in Hyderabad, and asks Deccan Chargers to boycott if it doesn't
Hyderabad | 10th February 2010
In a latest update, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has asked the home team, the Deccan Chargers, to boycott the IPL 2010 if matches are not held in Hyderabad. His appeal comes after his written letter to Sharad Pawar to stop the IPL tournament from moving out of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad has been rubbing the IPL 2010 the wrong way all along. The volatile civil situation in town thanks to the Telangana issue scared the IPL organizers, who shifted the opening ceremony and match away to Mumbai. Hyderabad is supposed to host it because the home team won the tournament last year.

Yesterday, news was in that all the matches set to be held in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium were being moved to other cities.
