Hyderabad will host the 20th edition of the International Children Film Festival in November 2017.
The week-long festival will be held from November 8 to 14 at Shilpakala Vedika.
Information & Public Relations Department Commissioner Navin Mittal today held a preliminary meeting with the Film Development Corporation and Children's Film Society officials and reviewed the arrangements to be made for the successful conduct of the biennial film festival.
He asked the FDC and CFSI officials to conduct a joint inspection of the theatres in the city, and said that 12 theatres should be reserved for the festival. The festival will also be organized in all the districts.
Workshops on filmmaking will be conducted at Jawahar Bal Bhavan as part of the event. A media centre will also be set up for the purpose. Accommodation for foreign and child delegates, reservation of preview theatres for jury screenings, identification of child delegates, foreign delegates and other dignitaries, constitution of various functional committees, and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
Kishore Babu, JMD of TSFDC, and other officials attended the meeting.
