Bhatti Promises Grand Gaddar Film Awards
The Telangana Deputy CM launched the screening process, and said that the final awards ceremony would draw global film industry attention to Hyderabad.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today announced that the ceremony for the presentation of the second edition of the Gaddar Film Awards, to be held on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, would be organised by the Film Development Corporation (FDC) on a historic scale - unprecedented in the past and unlikely to be replicated in the future.
The Deputy CM launched the film screening process for the awards at Prasad Labs, and spoke of the need to conduct the event in a way that drew the attention of the global film industry to Hyderabad.
He also assured the industry full support from the State government for its successful execution.
Also paying rich tributes to Gaddar, Bhatti described him as a revolutionary who used art as a tool for social change and had dedicated his life to the people.
He said that instituting film awards in Gaddar's name reflected the Congress government's recognition of his immense contributions.
Bhatti also said that jury chairman Mani Sharma was a respected figure in the industry, and expressed confidence that the panel would ensure a transparent, impartial and fair selection process.
FDC Chairman Dil Raju, its Executive Director Kishore Babu and other dignitaries attended the event.
