In a shocking incident, a student of the first year of Intermediate, from a well-known corporate college, committed suicide in her hostel room on Thursday, at Chemudugunta, in Nellore district.
According to police, reasons for the girl taking the extreme step are not yet ascertained.
The girl has identified as Sushma. She had committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her hostel room, with the help of her dupatta.
According to police, Sushma did not answer repeated knocks on the door by her college-mates. The girls then informed the management, who discovered the shocking sight.
The police and the victim's parents were informed. The police shifted the body to hospital for autopsy and have launched investigations to find out the reasons behind the girl's action.
