Indrakaran Reddy Seeks More Funds For Telangana
The Telangana Housing and Endowments Minister sought Central Government funds for the Godavari Pushkarulu, beedi workers' welfare and new ESI hospitals.

Telangana Housing and Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy sought funds from the Central Government for the conduct of the Godavari Pushkarulu.
Reddy called on Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Thursday and discussed various issues concerning Telangana. Khairatabad MLA Chintala Ramchandra Reddy was also present.
The ministers discussed the issue of the Godavari Pushkaralu to commence shortly in Telangana, and the arrangements being made by the state government. Indrakaran Reddy requested the Union Minister to pursue with the Union Government the allocation of more funds for developing the ghats and making arrangements for the pilgrims during the Pushkaralu from Basar to Dharmapuri and Badrachalam. Dattatraya assured that all possible help from the Union Government would be initiated by him.
They also discussed the status of the housing projects in the state, particularly the Indira Awas Yojana scheme in the rural areas and the Rajeev Gruha Kalpa scheme in the urban areas.
Dattatreya said that he would extend full cooperation for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's vision of a slum-free city of Hyderabad.
Indrakaran Reddy sought special allocation from the Union Labour Ministry for the welfare of beedi workers in the districts of Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal and Medak, and also for the setting up of a super specialty ESI hospital at Nirmal.
Dattatraya said he would depute the Labour Welfare Commissioner to take up all necessary initiatives in this regard, and also to initiate the setting up of more 50- to 100-bed ESI hospitals in the districts of Telangana. (INN)
