Indonesians' Stay In Karimnagar Being Probed

Of the 12 tourists, seven tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, and are now being treated at the isolation wards in the Gandhi and Fever hospitals.

The visit of the COVID-19-struck Indonesians to Karimnagar district has become a major talking point in Telangana.

Officials of the intelligence department are now enquiring about the places visited by the tourists in Karimnagar.

Of the 12 tourists, seven tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, and are now being treated at the isolation wards in the Gandhi and Fever hospitals.

The officials are also enquiring about the purpose of the visit of the tourists to Karimnagar, and their places of their stay there.

Meanwhile, BC welfare minister Gangula Kalamakar, who is the local MLA, said that the administration had constituted 100 special teams to hold coronavirus tests in all the households located within a 3 km radius of the district collecterate complex.
