The Telangana CM will go round Karimnagar town on Saturday to personally monitor the measures being taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will go round Karimnagar town on Saturday to personally monitor the measures being taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
The official machinery in Karimnagar initiated measures immediately to prevent the spread of the dreaded virus after it was revealed that some people who had arrived from Indonesia to Karimnagar and moved around the city tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Chief Minister too has been reviewing the situation there and giving several suggestions since yesterday, but has been keen to be there himself.
He in fact wanted to tour the town today itself to personally assess and monitor the situation. But due to the Prime Minister's video conference with the Chief Ministers scheduled today, he postponed his visit to the town.
The Chief Minister will tour Karimnagar tomorrow accompanied by high-level officials, and hold a review meeting there.
Meanwhile, the measures taken by the local administration to prevent the spread of the virus appear to have achieved good results. Except for those who came from Indonesia, none so far has tested positive for the virus.
