Public Affairs Officer of US Counsel, General Juliet Wurr, said on Monday that her country's President Barak Obama's mission to bury the difference between Muslims countries and the United States of America has started to yield positive results.
Wurr was speaking at an Eid-Milap function organised by the Hyderabad Urdu Journalists Association where she wished the Muslims of India in general, and of Hyderabad in particular, a joyous Eid.
The PAO drew similarity between India and her country by saying that people adhering to different religions can celebrate their festivals with liberty. She said that this liberty adds to the beauty of the two countries.
Besides this, Hyderabad Mayor Banda Kartika Reddy also wished the Muslims of the city a joyous Eid. She said that the Hyderabadi 'Ganga Jamuni' culture has always warmed the hearts of all those who know and experience the city.
MLC and senior journalist Syed Aminul Hassan Jaffri, Social worker P Venay Kumar, TDP floor leader in the GHMC Singireddy Srinivas Reddy, and in-charge and editor of Bharat News Shaukat Ali Khan, were also present.
