Income Tax officials on Wednesday raided the Narayana Group, a group that runs educational institutions across the state.
According to sources, 2 teams of IT officials raided the head offices of the group in Narayanguda in Hyderabad, early Wednesday morning, and are believed to have seized some incriminating documents.
The officials said searches are still on.
The group started as a coaching centre, and now runs around 200 campuses, with 1,75,000 students with centres outside the state.
The flagship institute was established in the year 1979 as a coaching institute for aspirants of state-level entrance exams. (INN)
