Thief Who Burgled 43 Houses Nabbed, Loot Recovered
Police said that the accused Kotipally Chandri alias Shekhar, 30, a labourer residing in Nizampet, had already been arrested seven times earlier.

The CCS sleuths of Madhapur today apprehended a hardened house burglar Kotipally Chandri, who committed 43 burglary offences under the limits of the Cyberabad Commissionerate (10) and in Sanga Reddy district (33), and recovered stolen property, gold ornaments weighing 57 tolas and net cash of Rs 2.70 lakh.
Police said that the accused Kotipally Chandri alias Shekhar, 30, a labourer residing in Nizampet, had already been arrested seven times earlier. He had committed 43 house burglary offences from 2005 to 2022 in the limits of the Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad police Commissionerates. He had committed 14 offences in Medipally, seven in Jawahar Nagar, four in Miyapur, three in Market, three in Ghatkesar, three in Medak town, two in Chilakalaguda, two in Bowenpally, one in Mahankali, one in Kushaiguda and one in Keesara.
The modus operandi of the burglar was moving alone in isolated areas late in the nights and searching for locked houses. He would then break open the doors and almirah locks using iron rods, and steal cash and gold.
The CCS Madhapur team led by V Prasanna Kumar, Inspector, and consisting of several SIs and ASIs who worked under the close monitoring of ACP CCS V Syam Babu and under the supervision of G Narsimha Reddy, Additional DCP of the CCS, was appreciated and rewarded.
