City Roads Inundated With Sudden Rains

Heavy rains preceded by squalls suddenly lashed the capital of Telangana on Monday afternoon, giving much-needed relief to the citizens from the scorching heat.

However, most of the roads in the affected areas turned water-logged after the one-hour downpour.

The sudden rain brought vehicular traffic to a halt in many areas. The busy Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Hitec City, Ameerpet, Pragathi Nagar, Panjagutta, Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar, Borabanda, Mothi Nagar, Kukatpally, L B Nagar and some adjoining areas suffered the most with traffic jams, and motorists trapped in the rain waters faced tough tasks steering their vehicles.
