Pride Dairy Owner Held For Adulterated Ghee
The Masab Tank police seized adulterated dairy products and machinery worth Rs 18.27 lakh, and arrested owner Mohammed Junaid Hussain.

In a major crackdown, the Commissioner's Task Force (Golconda Team) and the Masab Tank police raided a dairy unit, Pride Dairy, located at Bhola Nagar in the Banjara Hills area of the city, and arrested one person for allegedly manufacturing and selling adulterated dairy products.
They seized adulterated dairy products and machinery worth Rs 18.27 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Mohammed Junaid Hussain (26), son of Mohammed Mouzam Hussain and a resident of Bhola Nagar. He was running the dairy unit and is accused of illegally manufacturing ghee by mixing palm oil, vanaspati (Dalda) and other low-quality substances with cow and buffalo cream.
During the raid, the police seized 460 kg of adulterated ghee, 70 kg of adulterated mixed ghee, 2,090 kg of adulterated cow cream, 1,170 kg of adulterated buffalo cream, 28 tins of Ruchi Gold vanaspati (Dalda), used oil packets and empty tins, two boilers, one pushing machine, a packing machine, two weighing machines, four gas cylinders, 25 empty drums and packing covers.
Despite holding a valid license, the accused allegedly mixed palm oil, vanaspati, and other inferior substances with cow and buffalo cream to manufacture adulterated ghee. The products were reportedly sold as pure and original ghee to the public, hotels and event organisers, posing a serious risk to public health.
A case has been registered at the Masab Tank police station under various sections of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
