Licensed Weapon Holders Ordered To Deposit Weapons
The Hyderabad police have asked all the licensed weapon holders in the city to deposit their weapons in view of the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
City Commissioner of Police C V Anand today asked all the licensed weapon holders in the city to deposit their weapons in view of the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
Weapon owners were ordered to submit their weapons in police stations before October 16 by the CP.
He warned that action would be taken if the weapons were not submitted.
He said that the weapons could be taken back after December 10.
For the uninitiated, the schedule for the Telangana Assembly elections was released by the ECI yesterday. The State's Assembly elections will be held in a single phase, on November 30, and the results will be declared on December 3.
